Supplement facts

NFO® Lipid Balance (NFO Lipid Balance) is a unique complex based on fermented red rice, coenzyme Q10, B vitamins and folic acid to normalize the lipid profile, strengthen the myocardium and eliminate the risks of cardiovascular diseases.

Red yeast rice is made by fermenting plain rice with the red-purple yeast fungus Monascus purpureus. As a result of fermentation, rice turns red, and a biologically active substance is released - monacolin K, which, as scientists have found, is very similar to lovastatin. Therefore, just like lovastatin, monacolin K inhibits the production of an enzyme in the liver that is necessary for the production of cholesterol, as a result of which the production of cholesterol and its entry into the blood decreases, which means that the likelihood of cholesterol plaque formation in the vessels, the risk of developing atherosclerosis and the onset of heart attack or stroke.

Coenzyme Q10 - is an important component of every cell of the body, activating important enzymes of energy reactions. Coenzyme Q10 is mainly located in the mitochondrial membrane, where it is used to produce the energy needed primarily for the rhythmic contraction of the heart muscle and the enrichment of cells with oxygen. In addition, Coenzyme Q10 prevents the risk of possible liver damage from the statin action of monacolin K.

B vitamins and folic acid enhance the action of the main active components of the formula, help reduce the synthesis of cholesterol and shift it towards the formation of "useful" cholesterol (HDL), strengthen the nervous system.
